I haven't had any horrible experiences with Comcast. My worst experiences are with Dell. They are terrible. At least with Comcast you can talk with someone within the country and not have to listen to a foreigner. comcast customer service

A follow-up for anyone checking in...after my last post and the message above from Frank @ComcastCares, I literally received calls from 4 different Comcast reps, local and national, some calling multiple times. Needless to say, I had a service guy out here yesterday, new boxes in hand, who got me all squared away (for free). So there was a solution out there, it just took the right people to find it. Not sure what to takeaway from this beyond the old adage, "the squeaky wheel..."

To answer your question, my personal opinion is "no." Great customer service, while generally in short supply, is great, but what's the point if the products or services are deficient? Comcast gets an "A" in my book for pretending to care, but does it amount to anything if four reps can't actually solve your problem or make you in any way feel like a valued customer? I stumbled upon another blog on customer service awhile ago: http://blog.onehourcourses.com/2009/09/08/customer-service-training/ No doubt there's a connection between customer service and repeat purchases. Food for thought...

I think I know more about the confusion. Once again, I apologize for that. From what I have heard boxes are available in your area. What is not yet available are digital to analog adapters that will be used when we transition all channels between 30 and 100 to digital. This transition has not started in your area. Until then, we can obtain a standard cable box for you without any trouble. From what I have been told they are readily available.

I have not heard of delay by SA or areas having trouble. I have located your information and I have emailed our leaders in your area to ask for more information. I agree this should not happen.
